I wasn’t able to take proper photos of the new pieces for today’s sale but here are some that I was able to get and mess with to hide the clutter of the background.
I had one feeder that I was playing decals on.
First I put on an overall image of the woodlot on my street. Then I added bits from a photo of tree litter on a neighbour's lawn and that wasn’t what I was looking for so then this week I added an graphic I had made from a photo of tulips by my daughter in Toronto last spring.
I made a cylindrical feeder last month on which I put an image of the bark of one of the white elms in my backyard.
I also made a series of Faïrieland feeders that started when I put yellow bulged flowers on a feeder and Joan said "that looks like it is from Fairy Land". But being a Tolkien fanatic I not only spelled it differently but also moved on to create a series of Radagast the Brown wizard bird feeders.
On March 23 and 24 this year I participated in a swimming meet for the first time. The Master Swim Ontario Champs 2018 was held in Ottawa this year and it was a real treat for a neophyte swimmer like me! What a great experience. I even saw a 94 year old woman competing! Yes 94! And she even did the 200 meter breaststroke!!!
I love working with clay and enjoy spending time sharing information with people about people, events and artistic efforts in my community.
